Airports
nearest to the hunting areas; hunters will be welcome by our specialized
staff and then transported to the places where they will start their
Safari. Upon to the hunter request, Safari Sud provide a service to
welcome the hunters in the international airport by specialized staff.
They will also be aided in case of transshipments as well as with the
proceedings to carry the hunting guns into our country.
Documentation.
Hunters
need their passports as well as the necessary documentation concerning
arms and ammunitions to be able to carry them in Argentina. To meet such
demands, hunters should refer to the nearest argentine consulate with
their passports, hunting licenses and information about the gun to be
used, or see his booking agent.
Hunting system.
Big Game to spy on or not, according with the species and the zone of
hunting . Partridges and hares; on foot,
walking through the fields with hunting dogs. Ducks, Becasinas and
Pigeons, whiting in islands and inlets. Vizcachas: at night with
searchlights, on foot or vehicles. The following ones according to the
species and the hunting areas: still hunting, weighting, baiting. Safari
Sud will provide
ammunitions at low prices upon request.
Guns and Ammunitions.
It
is strongly recommended that hunters bring their own guns, however our
company can provide them, at U$S 30 daily. Ammunition will be charged at
local current price.
For bird shooting 12 or 20 Ga. semi-automatic models are specially
recommended.
Safari Sud will provide prime quality
ammunitions int 12 or 20 Ga.
For plains game, we suggest a medium rifle such as 7 mmR or 300 WM caliber
fitted with a good scope. For water buffalo we recommend 375HH or bigger.
Climate and clothing.
March,
April and the beginning of May are hot months with temperatures ranging
between 10 and 28 centigrade. It is recommended light garments for the day
and warmer clothes for the evening. In May, June, July and august it is
very col. Temperatures range between 10 below zero to a maximum of 15
centigrade. In September and October temperatures range between 10 to 20
centigrade. For all the seasons we specially recommend raincoats and water
proof boots. For duck shooting rubbers hip-boots or waders are required.
Lodging.
The accommodations are in hotel, or very comfortable farm house,
near of the hunt area.
Transportation.
Modern
4x4 all-track vehicles, well equipped with air conditioning and central
heating.
Meal.
The
Continental or American breakfast and dinner will be served in the hotel,
in the restaurant or in the farm house. Lunches will be served in the
camps except in very particular occasions. Tea ( if the time and the type
of hunting allow so). Dinner. Food will be abundant and fresh (meat,
fruit, vegetables, etc.) whenever possible, typical meals will be served.
The best wines, fruit juice, beer white drinks and aperitifs will be
available for our clients.
Currency.
It
is recommended to bring American dollars or travelers checks which are
easily accepted. The parity is 1:1.
Group.
The group of hunters must be 2 person as minimum and 6
as maximum for small hunt, and 1 or 2 person for big hunt. Other groups
please contact us.
Accompanying.
If a client wants to bring an accompanying not hunter,
he will be welcome with the certitude that will pass beautiful days in
Argentina.
Medical.
Malaria prophylaxis, yellow fever and cholera
vaccination, are not required.
